1. Issues and challenges associated
with RTE Provision of 25% reservation (for underprivileged children) in private
schools;
2. Current situation of
implementation of RTE Provision of 25% reservation (for underprivileged
children) in private schools;
3. Possible solutions to address the
challenges of implementation of the RTE Provision discussed during the
sessions.
1A} Students (Children) are not that
much aware of RTE Provision Act, because they stay far away from the society,
If they want to join in Schools there is huge process to join in the schools,
they have to permission of BRC, etc. people. They feel isolated from the other
children in the school. Language is main
challenge, only school will select 25%, if per class 20 students are there
means 1 or 2 is from under privilege. Usually private schools are English
medium schools. The child get challenge in learning.
2A} Implementation of RTE is little
bit difficult in Tribal areas, In Uttarakhand (Almora) the vernacular language
is Kumouni, till the age of 7 (Approx.) the child will speak in local language, child
can’t understand Hindi that much good, the private teachers are familiar in
Hindi. In Private schools even though they are implementing the children are
not that much comfortable in English & Hindi languages, they are feeling
alienated.
3A} The possible solution is back
teachers, selecting the teachers from the community itself, then child doesn’t
have language problem.
