The all children are getting milk in the morning & Lunch in the afternoon, there are 4-5 teachers are there in school.

Principal/Head Master is invigilating classes suddenly. They are getting Mid-Day Meals, Iron Tablets, etc. Bhojan Mata is also friendly with children. Children are made some arts & presentations in school and pasted on the walls. Daily in assembly the students use listen news, answers the quiz questions. And participate in prayer. (Different kind of children are there in school with different religions, caste, languages, etc.)

Case Study Report

Frist we did case study with two Telugu guys (I Selected based on language, initially I didn’t remember that we need to do case study with slow learner). Later I changed my case based on the objective of this case study (By hearing the saying of my peer member I changed my case after discussing with the school teacher). And we took that Telugu student as a translator for our case.

Name of the student: Sukuma (Scudo Name) Class: 7th Class

Interaction with Her:-

Sukuma is a 7th class student in Government Higher Primary School first we introduced ourselves to her, and later we interacted with her gradually we asked about her family, favorite food, games, etc. later we came into our topic. (Her Parents are migrated from Tamil Nadu more than 10 years back because of this she can speak both Kannada & Tamil Languages fluently).

Why you will not write homework - She replied that I will play games, watch TV, other activities after going to home that’s why I will not write my homework.

Will parents help/guide in your studies- She replied that yes, my parents particularly my mother will help in my academics, sometimes she (mother) is busy in other works also.

She also said that we are getting more knowledge from our teachers only. She is also have fear because sometimes their principal also will beat them.

Interaction with her Teacher-

Teacher told that she is from working class, parent are aware about value education, but they don’t know how to educate them. At the same time parents because of heavy work. Generally children tendency at this age is to play more not to read much. She is also doing her activities which generally children will do, but she is mostly focusing on extracurricular activities only not focusing on much on Home works.

{We didn’t get a chance to meet her family members}

Familial, community or socioeconomic factors-

Family is interested in making the child well educated, because of some limitations (More work in home, less educated (Less years of schooling)) they are not focusing much on her child. I think here familial factors are becoming constraints in her academic life. Here most of the students are staying near to school only. (Her home is also near to school only). By friends community she can get more knowledge but she might not interested in acquiring knowledge, but she is playing very well with them, but not studying with them.

Here School is giving good knowledge to some children for some not. Even tough teachers are teaching more than textbook knowledge (Based on my observation in classroom). Here parental Familial education is impacting her education.
